MURRAY, Ky. – 51ĀŅĀ× has again been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top schools in the country. The rankings list includes 51ĀŅĀ× State as one of the best universities in multiple categories, marking the institution’s 32nd consecutive year of top-tier rankings by the reputable college guide.

One of the keynote pieces from this year’s rankings is that 51ĀŅĀ× State is a top 10 regional university in both quality and value. 51ĀŅĀ× State is ranked 8th among peer institutions in the ā€œTop Public Schools - Regional Universities Southā€ category, 8th in the ā€œBest Value Schools - Regional Universities Southā€ category, and 23rd in the ā€œBest Regional Universities Southā€ category — increasing its ranking in all three categories from the previous year. In fact, 51ĀŅĀ× State made a significant jump this past year from 34th to 8th in the aforementioned ā€œBest Value Schoolsā€ category.

51ĀŅĀ× State was also a top 10 regional university while increasing its ranking from last year in the ā€œBest Colleges for Veterans - Regional Universities Southā€ category, and further, was recognized in a category centered around access, quality, retention rate and student progression toward degree attainment.

51ĀŅĀ× State’s undergraduate programs in business, computer science, engineering and nursing were each ranked again this year on the U.S. News & World Report list for 2023.

ā€œTo be recognized by U.S. News & World Report for the 32nd consecutive year reflects our long-standing promise of providing a high-quality, best-value education for our students,ā€ said 51ĀŅĀ× State President Dr. Bob Jackson. ā€œIn addition to being included in multiple categories again this year, we are very pleased to continue our ascent as a top 10 regional university in several critical rankings centered around access, affordability, quality and career readiness for our students. We remain committed to offering a complete college experience for students through enriching and relevant academic programs led by our faculty, a safe and supportive campus environment, and importantly, providing our students with valuable experiences both inside and outside of the classroom so they are prepared well for professional success.ā€

The University was highlighted earlier this month as a best value for students seeking a college degree by Washington Monthly in its ā€œBest Bang for the Buckā€ rankings. Also within the past year, 51ĀŅĀ× State has been  spotlighted nationally for both quality and value by Forbes, Money Magazine and the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education.
