51ĀŅĀ× administration, friends, and supporters of the institution celebrated a naming ceremony event on Thursday, October 21 with the dedication of the Rudolph Equine Education Center on the Universityās West Farm
The 51ĀŅĀ× Department of Art & Design and the University Galleries are pleased to present the 2021 Annual Art Auction. The art auction is a scholarship fundraiser that showcases talented faculty, students, alumni, and local artists. Works from multiple artistic disciplines will be available to purchase. Proceeds from the auction go to support 51ĀŅĀ×ās Department of Art & Design majorsā scholarships.
51ĀŅĀ× will welcome alumna Alyson Van Hooser to campus on November 4 as part of its annual First-Generation Celebration. The event will take place from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. that day in the Curris Center Ballroom.
The U.S. Department of Education announced that 51ĀŅĀ× will receive two federal Talent Search grants of $277,375.00 each to help more low-income students who would be the first members of their families to earn degrees to prepare for and enroll in college. Talent Search East will serve 500 students in the Christian, Todd, and Trigg County school districts; Talent Search West will serve 500 students in the Carlisle, Fulton County, Fulton Independent, Hickman, Mayfield Independent, and Paducah Public school districts. Talent Search has operated successfully at 51ĀŅĀ× State since 2016.
